I recommend these webpages to anyone interested in learning more about modern propaganda, that way it functions, and its effects on contemporary society. The first webpage was created by a team of independent journalists based in the U.S, and is dedicated to sniffing out and opposing propaganda. Their self-described goal is “to empower the American voter and decrease the ability of Russia to influence the ensuing American election”. The second webpage I’ve linked is a Chinese subreddit that focuses on the propagation of pro-communist articles, memes, and video essays. The subreddit is infamous for censoring comments and posts that don’t fall in line with CCP rhetoric, and using falsified statistics to disprove sources criticizing the CCP. The third webpage I linked focuses more on corporate propaganda. As corporations grow and become more ambitious, they find new ways to change hearts and minds through propaganda. One example of this would be BP (British Petroleum) forming right wing think tanks to come up with and spread climate change conspiracy theories.
